muddy buddies (gf/df/vegan)

Ingredients
- 9 c. gluten free rice cereal (like Chex or something similar)
- 1 1/2 c. dairy free chocolate chips
- 1/4 c. nondairy butter
- 1/2 c. nut butter or seed butter of choice
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. powdered sugar
Note
Chances are, if you grew up in the United States, you've had Muddy Buddies (AKA Monkey Munch, Puppy Chow...) I've tweaked the recipe a bit to our liking and to suit our allergies.

Directions
1. | Measure out cereal into a large bowl; set aside. | |
2. | In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips, butter, and nut/seed butter, mixing until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract. | |
3. | Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and mix until the cereal is thoroughly coated with chocolate. | |
4. | Sprinkle powdered sugar over cereal mix, tossing in the bowl to coat evenly. | |
5. | Refrigerate until chocolate has set, about 30 minutes. | |
6. | Store in an airtight container for up to a week (though it NEVER lasts that long in our house!) |
