Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger, ground turkey, moose or bison
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, diced
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 cans beans, drained & rinsed (I usually use northern and kidney beans)
  • 1/3 c. chili powder
  • 1 Tbs. cumin powder
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Directions

1. Saute meat with onion, garlic & green pepper. Drain fat off.
2. Mix remaining ingredients and let simmer on low, stirring occasionally, for about 2 hours.
3. Eat topped with cheese, sour cream & green onions.
